A week from , on , Friends have a golden opportunity to symbolically and corporeally
express our peaceful presence in our Homewood/Charles Village neighborhood, by attending the dedication of the Harriet Tubman Grove at Wyman Dell Park.
This is the area of the park on Art Museum Drive where the former Jackson & Lee Confederate monument once stood,
just a very short walk from Homewood's meetinghouse, at the top of Art Museum Drive. As you know, Harriet Tubman's journey as conductor of the Underground
Railroad was facilitated by Quakers.
Our quiet, humble presence at this dedication ceremony could be meaningful.
