Unity with Nature Book/Resource List

(Updated 2/16/04)

This is a list that we hope will grow with time. It is composed of three parts:

  1. Books that contain beautiful photographs of their subjects, along with good commentary. The point here is to show some of the beauty and wonder of the creatures that live on this planet, besides human beings.
  2. Several books that describe the disastrous effect upon the natural world caused by the exploding human population growth and the industrialization/commercialization of the planet.
  3. Some of the many relevant Internet websites that contain further reading, references, etc.

www.vrg.org   Vegetarian Resource Group site is a treasure trove of information about nutrition, diet, recipes, restraurants, etc. The Travel Section has dining guides for Maryland and Baltimore.

www.goveg.com   Part of PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) site. "Your source for great-tasting vegan and vegetarian recipes, information." You can get a free Vegetarian Starter Kit. Also has resource list that includes books and magazines.
